Here it is!! ... my very first piece of The Sims 4 CC to release to the world!! I believe this Ragged Wooden Ladder is actually the first functional CC ladder released here at S4S!? Hopefully the first of many from other creators!
Ever since EA included ladders I've wanted to make a more natural looking form and texture that was better suited to rustic builds, farms, tree houses, that sort of thing. This was a real challenge because neither Sims4Studio nor The Sims Resource Workshop support cloning this type of build object!! Ultimately, the Game File Cruiser in S4S proved indispensable for this project!
My Ragged Wooden Ladder has a new Maxis-Match mesh and 16 new color texture swatches.
I thought including an invisible texture/swatch would be fun for anyone who'd like to get creative and try to hide the ladder inside other objects without footprint (... perhaps inside a spiral staircase? or to create a climbing wall? ). The invisible swatch has a frame to cover the cutout if it penetrates a floor, and has to be clickable somewhere to have a Sim climb. (That's Steve in the screen capture above, on the invisible ladder, the poor guy has gone through the wringer as my Sim who tests everything!)
