Hi, i'm completely new to this so i'm not even sure if im posting in the right place or not. but heres my problem.
Theres a painting in spooky stuff we all know it the painting that changes.
I swap the pictures out for the ones i want i.e My normal sim on the first picture and his Mer-form on the second.
When in game, the normal picture is my sim but it still swaps to the default Wolfman picture, so i did some homework and i apparently need to change the tuning (Now my brain begins to melt lol) i swapped it out for the Object_painting Blahh but that obviously didn't work just made it a normal painting......
so and i admit it i'm a noob. so is there anyway of actually changing this so it still has the properties of a changing picture but with the images i want?
I tried uploading pictures but it didn't like me so :(

Unfortunately it's not entirely the tuning that needs changing, it's the VFX. You're going to have to override one of the paintings or venture into creating custom VFX, which isn't that much harder since you're only cloning the VFX, cloning the VFX model, and then replacing the different references with yours to connect them all. You can do so with the VFX Tool, and there are several threads scattered in this forum where we discussed VFX and their models (here's one to get you started), but if you need more help with the tool itself (and not the S4S part of it) you'll have to post on it's thread in MTS. The thread also has a tutorial on cloning VFX I forgot to say. Once you've cloned your VFX and replaced the texture and model reference, you clone the original painting object tuning (this tutorial will help) and then scroll down till you see this: <U> <L n="client_states"> <U> <T n="key">127007<!--spookyPortrait_VFX--></T> <U n="value"> <V n="vfx_state" t="apply_new_value"> <V n="apply_new_value" t="start_vfx"> <V n="start_vfx" t="single_effect"> <U n="single_effect"> <T n="effect_name">sp04_portrait_fade_1</T> <V n="joint_name" t="Slot"> <T n="Slot">_focus_</T> </V> </U> </V> </V> </V> </U> </U> </L> <V n="default_value" t="reference"> <T n="reference">127007<!--spookyPortrait_VFX--></T> </V> </U>
Replace the sp04_portrait_fade_1 with your effect's name.
