Introducing the August Studio Challenge:
This challenge is for storytellers, designers, builders, photographers, and anyone else who loves Sims 4 and taking pictures of their game. You have a Sim (or Sims) and the Sim is moving. Where are they moving?…well you tell us. Or, to be more accurate, show us. Using one or more screenshots from your game get that Sim from point A, where they don’t want to be or can’t stay anymore, to point B, the place they’re heading whether they want to or not. Use as much or as little text as you want in the process and take the shots that express your vision. Read more, see one example of how this can play out, check out the prizes, and come take the Challenge!
Speaking of Challenges, the prizes and participation gifts from past challenges are now available HERE at Studio forums!
In other news Studio has updated to v. 2.5.1.4 (Joy). We were sort of rushed to Blender 2.75a with the coming of Win 10 and the first version compatible with it was a very early beta. Thanks to the community’s tests things should be a little smoother with Blender 2.75a now and we appreciate those who persevered through the rough start. Several members pointed out issues with the tuning mod feature and that has now been optimized. Studio’s load time has been cut in half and our hope is that this optimization will fix the problems identified in the tuning feature.
Object creators will be glad to know that object swatch ordering is back in place. It got thrown a little out of whack when “add swatch” was implemented but it is now fixed. If you want to get swatches back in order that weren’t placed in their proper order there is an easy fix…just open the .package with My Projects and click save.
Last but not least Studio has added a tutorial going over information a lot of people have been asking about lately...how to get online space where you can put your creations in order to share them with others. This tutorial answers that question and goes over how to get a lot of reliable, safe, reputable, and easy to use online storage space for your uploads. We’re talking storage space that has no ads of its own for your downloaders to wade through and that makes no claim on your content. Your content stays your content…completely under your control. There is no catch that says your files can be rehosted elsewhere if the host closes.
If you want you can create collaborative space and share it with partners. The whole world won’t be able to get to it and you don’t have to do any special steps to keep it that way.
This is completely free space that is backed by professional outfits that aren’t going to disappear overnight whisking your items away or, even worse, post them somewhere that you didn’t ever want them posted. Of course this space comes with a download counter and an interface that makes it act like a folder on your computer that you just drop things into when you want to share it.
We've also opened a new tutorial section that holds custom content management tutorials. There are a lot of people who aren't aware of how easy it is to use Studio for this purpose...this is the section to link them to
