i am at the part to transfer data but whenever i do my mesh and the original mesh doesn't show on the uv map i can get to the end of it showing up in game but then i can't make any textures because there's no uv map to bake. this is what it looks like after a data transfer on the left is mine (that tiny little dot) on the right is what its suppose to look like

Hi. It would be a better idea to find a different tutorial where the author explains what doing something actually accomplishes ( because that's not what a uv_1 map does ). There are two uv maps: uv_0 dictates how textures are projected onto the surface of a 3d model, uv_1 dictates how the mesh will morph. First, unlike what the author did in their tutorial, you should not join the body with the garment until you make the later fully functional ( transfer a uv_1 map and weights, vertex paint ). The weights and uvs do not transfer right in the finger area. While the uvs will cause no problem, the fingers might become distorted a bit bc of weights. How to transfer a uv_1 map: - since your garment does not go below the waist line or above the neck line, you can use a top under the rig as a reference.Unfold rig, make the top visible and selectable; - select your garment, duplicate a uv_0, name it uv_1. Add data transfer modifier, choose top as Source object, set the rest like in the pic, apply in Object mode; "
