Please Help! I have been trying for he last 2 years to understand blender and have virtually failed every time. I make CC but mainly recolors and using 2D software for making up new outfits from base game content. However this time I wanted to put a base game top and a base game bottom together but make it a clothing body, I saw a tutorial for how to do something similar, but it was for doing the exact opposite which is making a clothing body, a clothing top. (https://sims4studio.com/thread/684/changing-body-category-top) I have tried to do this in blender with the help of this YouTube tutorial ( ), but once again it is not showing me how to put a top and bottom together. I was able to come up with this: i.ibb.co/jZqKjWM/02-20-21-11-30-43-PM.pngLooks great, but it was still under tops. So trying to follow the initial tutorial I exported that mesh as a clothing body went to blender, imported it back to S4S and saved opened it in game and there was no middle section, it was completely hollow/ nonexistent. So I figured I needed to append a clothing body to the outfit and I chose the basic one piece swimsuit. I deleted the extra legs and arms and joined them together and then I imported it, saved, opened in game and got this: i.ibb.co/DVtrnSJ/02-21-21-3-24-58-PM.pngI have absolutely no idea why there's a huge distorted cone on my skirt and I am once again defeated by blender. I am not sure how to continue, what I did wrong or what to do. Here is my file link to the pink fuzzy outfit still under tops if that will help at all: www.mediafire.com/file/siz96sjxad12rdy/top.package/file

Hi. Your thought process was right but you cannot delete meshgroups. What you import in s4s must have the same number of meshgroups as what you cloned - open your blend, unfold rig, make bottom selectable, select it, in 3d view press Shift D, then Esc to duplicate it; - select bottom.001, switch to edit mode (TAB), disable Limit selection to visible. Switch to vertex select, press B, click and drag to select all area of the bottom that is covered by the skirt, press Delete, choose Faces; - switch back to Object mode, select bottom.001, Shift-select s4studio_mesh_1, press Ctrl J to join them; - type skirt in the search bar, press - button to the right to delete b__R_Skirt__ and b__L_Skirt__, switch to Weight paint, and click on Normalize all; - save the file; - go to Cas - Create 3d mesh, type lingerie in the search bar, choose a lingerie set, clone it, import the blend there.

Hello, and thank you for the swift answer! I followed what you said, I did the whole thing in blender, and then replaced the white lingerie w/ my blend, but this is what I got, I am not sure what I did wrong. i.ibb.co/0949FMN/Capture134.pngEdit:I think I may have figured out what I did wrong there But now I have a whole new problem. The lingerie is still showing up under my outfit. Edit Pt2: Nevermind I fixed it, I used a different full body outfit, and then I remembered to make everything blank except for the texture . My outfit is finally functional.

Wait, what outfit did you use? I used the plain white swimsuit (the one piece). I did that because I first thought "If I just have to have this issue I'd rather it be just a sold line than the buckles and bows on the lingerie" But that was before I made the specular, shadow, and normal blank.

Clone that swimsuit again and export the blend file first. If there’s more than 1 meshgroups, do not use it, clone lingerie again

Clone that swimsuit again and export the blend file first. If there’s more than 1 meshgroups, do not use it, clone lingerie again When you say clone it, what exactly does that mean? Also, you're saying I should go back and use the lingerie as the base again and then just make the specular and shadow blank to get rid of the issue w/ it showing underneath?

Cloning is a process of duplicating game files. When you click on create 3d mesh, choose something, then press Next, you create its clone
Well, making maps blank is not a good idea but it will do for the purpose. What I want is for you to be conscious of the items you clone. You cannot clone something that is made of 3 meshgroups and replace it with something that only has one. You cannot clone something that is not affected by skirt bones and import something that is. Everything you clone should be as close as possible to what you import in terms of functionality because s4s does not create these packages from scratch, they already come pre-tuned.
