I am new to s4s (and i mean really new) and I am using it to make overrides from other creators CC (with their permission ofc) for BG meshes. There is not a lot of info about overrides in this forum (unless I'm blind) so I've mostly been learning on my own. Overriding hair was a breeze but I'm struggling with two top overrides that are not cooperating and I'm unsure how to fix this.
The hooded short coat intends to replace the Mr.Cartoon Jacket. It has no shadow/spec/normal - only the mesh and diffuses. After exporting mesh as .blender and diffuses as .dds and clearing existing info from the BG jacket, the mesh does not fully show up. I'm also having issues with the pinned cardigan replacing the BG Military Jacket. I properly exported and imported everything but there is a ring around the waist that cuts into the new mesh.
Hi. All of it can be fixed but you need to actually watch related tutorials because simply replacing the mesh is not enough. To prevent the first mesh from clipping into the lower body, you must make the bottom of it bigger. This should be covered in any mesh editing tutorial. To fix the textures of the jacket, its uvs must be moved away from the top's uvs ( or vice versa ) and the texture rebaked. This should be covered in the frankenmeshing tutorials
