Hi everyone! I'm new here, and wondering if someone could help.
I'm trying to combine a top and bottom to make a full body mesh. Also, the top is a swimsuit so it extends to the crotch area. When I tried to open and append the blend files onto blender, the top gets cut off and doesnt show the crotch part. Also, there seems to be patches / holes on the top that werent there before.
Hoping someone could help, or direct me to a YT vid?

You do not even need to edit the mesh. - open the file with a swimsuit, export the diffuse texture; - open your edited pants texture, put the swimsuit underneath, save; - import the texture in the package of pants; - if you want it to be a full-body after all, clone a lingerie set

When you say put the swimsuit underneath, do I append the swimsuit onto the opened pant blend file? Do I open the swimsuit first, add the texture, then save it as a blend file, and then append it to the pants? Also, when you say clone a lingerie set, would you mind detailing how I do that exactly? Thank you so much for your help and taking the time out to help me figure it out

You do not even need to edit the mesh. I'm talking about editing textures because both of those items are texture-based. Just textures projected on the nude body

I know how to do it on 2.83 though. Would that work for s4s?

Just textures projected on the nude body Oh okay. do you mind telling me the process of making the combined mesh into a full body? Not sure how to make the cloned lingerie be the base of the textures. If I do use the lingerie, will the transparencies still work? The top in particular has transparency, and the chest area isn't really "stuck" to the body.

If you want to preserve the chest area, do the following: - open the swimsuit, export the blend, open it; - unfold rig, make bottom selectable, select it, in 3d view press shift d to duplicate, then esc to confirm; " - select bottom.001, shift select s4studio_mesh_1, press Ctrl J to join, save the file; - open s4s, Cas - Create 3d mesh - type lingerie set into the search bar - select and click next, save it - import the edited mesh into lod0, do not touch other lods; - import edited textures

Just one part though, when you say "bottom", do you mean the bottom of the things under "rig". I saw on your screenshot that "top" is highlighted and not "bottom". Also, after doing this part: "in 3d view press shift d to duplicate, then esc to confirm", I did not find any "bottom.001" ? I'm using a Mac, not sure if that makes a difference?

The screenshot is there to show you where the cursor button is. Choose the bottom ofc If you did not, then it wasn't duplicated. Click on the cursor icon, then select the bottom, then press Shift D
For the future, if you plan on editing more cc, please watch any mesh editing or frankrnmeshing tutorials properly. In this section of the forum, you are expected to have a basic understanding of how things work to understand our responses.
