Sorry if this is a dumb question, this is literally my first attempt at a mod and I just started today. I extracted all of the tuning files, and I've spent the past couple hours digging through them trying to find which ones are used for the wall tool. Does anyone know what I should be looking for? I'm trying to adjust the price of the wall tool.

Hi audiemurphy135 , I'm not sure if this will work, but I would check out the "Block" resource. You can extract it with the game file cruiser from the tools menu and add it to your package. The build tools all seem to have one of these resources and the resource includes a price.

Seems to be a step in the right direction, but unfortunately doesn't work. It replaces the originals and counts as custom content, and while it does display the modified price in build mode, it still only charges the default 60 simoleons when placing it. Out of curiosity, I also tried directly modifying the default package that it's located in (\The Sims 4\Data\SimulationSimulationFullBuild0.package), however nothing changed in the game, not even the displayed price. Don't worry, I backed it up. :P For "Room Tool", "Wall Tool - B", and "Custom Room Tool", they all share a value called:
{ "Tag": "Build_Block_WallTool", "TagValue": 653 }
I have no idea where or if this can be located somewhere since my modding knowledge isn't good enough, but I'm wondering if that's what needs to be modified. I'm hoping the value isn't hard coded. Not sure where else to continue looking for it at this point.

Couldn't find a solution, so in the end, I decided to just modify the cost for all of the floor tiles in the game. It ended up giving the same effect - and it's probably more accurate, too - it was just a really tedious 30 minutes or so. Had to modify the cost of around 900 items.
