In the game I'm running I decided to create an eco friendly lot and that involved choosing walls and flooring that came with either +1 or +2 eco footprint.
I didn't like my choices so I'm attempting to create swatches of wall that I do like but with those added gameplay effects so I can decorate how I want.
Everything seemed to be going well. I created a new standalone recolor under the build option, save the package file, found the wall I wanted and proceeded to edit the gameplay tags. Then I saved the package file, transferred it to my mods folder for the Sims 4. I found the new wall I created in build/buy mode but it is not showing those game play effects.
Am I doing this wrong? Any help on how to successfully create wall swatches with gameplay effects that show up in game?
Edit: I'm not altering anyone else's work. The wall swatches I've chosen come from the base game or it's expansions.

Nevermind. I figured it out by inspecting a swatch of wall that already had the gameplay effect I wanted.
I notice there is no tutorial about adding game play effects to build options, just objects. Should anyone else run into my issue the tags to change gameplay effects that you see in the tags section of the studio tab seem to essentially be useless for this. You need to go to the warehouse tab, click on "wall" (or whatever you're altering. I imagine a floor tile would say floor instead of wall) and find objecttooltiptags and click edit items. From there you can add all the effects you want from the drop down menus you can create.

Is there a meaningful difference between the "EcoFootprint_Positive" and "EP09_EcoFootprint_Positive" (or negative as the case may be) tags?

No clue how they really work lol, but making the changes in Warehouse seems to be the right way. The other day I had a Sim feeling uncomfortable because he somehow didn't like the wall paper or floor tiles hahaha. I was really surprised. So I looked into all my wall papers and flooring, but xouldn't figure out these checkboxes. Your post helped me alot now, so thanks!

Is there a meaningful difference between the "EcoFootprint_Positive" and "EP09_EcoFootprint_Positive" (or negative as the case may be) tags? Not sure the first one if it actually works since Eco lifestyle was introduced. So better use the latter one just to be on the safe side. I was also trying to find this thing but didn't until I found your post guyinthetie. Thanks for that. Did not think to check existing ones and just add a higher value to it! I will play with this and check it out.

You need to go to the warehouse tab, click on "wall" [...] find objecttooltiptags and click edit items. From there you can add all the effects you want from the drop down menus you can create. Hi and THANK YOU for the only mention of this on the internet. I was referred here, and further helped, by MizoreYukii in Deaderpool's Discord server.
