Hi fellow Simmers, I'm trying to follow Zero's mod tutorial on Patreon www.patreon.com/posts/tutorial-lets-to-31923603 and I'm stuck on the part where he says to download the XML Extractor so that you can grab the tuning ID and search it so that it can bring up all the XMLs it was referenced in. I first downloaded Scumbumbo's but I wasn't able to extract the files because of some error so I found an updated XML extractor from MizoreYukii (https://modthesims.info/download.php?t=563256&c=1&goto=newpost) which worked. When I resumed the tutorial and searched for the tuning ID, just how Zero did (he used Windows search inside the folder the XMLs were extracted into), I didn't get any search results. I should note that I do not have all the game packs/stuff packs so I'm not sure if this affects the XML extractor search results(the tuning ID that I searched for is exactly the same as in Zero's tutorial which I believe is in the BG). My questions are: 1. Do I need to have all packs to use the XML extractor? 2. Is there a chance I installed it incorrectly that's why I'm not getting any search results? 3. Are there any other ways I can get the results without having to use a Windows search? Thanks

1. No. 2. Installation is pretty easy, I don't think it's that. More than likely your search index hasn't finished updating yet. Whenever you add new files to your computer the search index updates so that newly added items appear in the results when you do search. But since you just extracted around 31k BG files (+ however many packs you own), and if your computer is about average or lower, it's going to take a bit for it to update the index. 3. Yes, if you enabled file indexing in the extractor you can use the XML File Finder included in the download to search the files, which also allows you to see file references. But that will only work if you enabled file indexing, which I think is the default setting? Not sure. You could also just use Sims4Studio and use Extract Tuning to add it to your package instead.
