Is there a mod that you can skip the "knock on door" before you enter a house interaction?
If not, how I think it could be done is to move the switch of "knock on door" from off to on as soon as the sim arrives at the lot so that the sim can enter as if it already performed the interaction
The need of the switch happens only on residential lots, another way could be to make a different lot type, Zerbu and Turbodriver had already figured out how to make custom lot types, for example Zerbu's Go To School mod, so maybe something like a type of lot that would allow households to live in them, but not strictly residential could be created, something like "Residential - Open", same requirements as residential but treated like a community/business lot, where no "knock on door" is required to enter the building.
Now, let's suppose that is possible, the "Residential - Open" maybe could be assign as Default Replacement of the residential lot type, eliminating the "knock on door" interaction on The Sims.
What would we win with this?
That the game wouldn't hide what is inside the house when you cam inside it, it is unnecessary, all the textures and polygons and animations are already loaded, as you can see from the windows, when you cam inside the house, the game makes all the loaded elements invisible, for no reason.
Another way to evade the invisibility switch when you cam in is to detect where that switch is and don't activate when the cam is inside the house. The "knock on door" interaction would still be needed to enter the house, but the already loaded assets would still be seen when you cam inside the house.
That would give a sensation closer to open neighborhoods, althought we still need to have a loading screen to go from one lot to the next one just to change the lot type and lot traits of the lot we arrived in, reloading all the assets unnecessarily.
Thanks for reading, at least I hope the "turn invisible when caming inside the house" can be eliminated.
