So I have done custom eyes for years now and lately when ever I try to make any, I keep getting an issue when uploading my texture. Your texture must be saved as a PNG or an uncompressed DDS B8G8R8A8 (Linear, A8R8G8B8) with mip maps. Now the only thing that has changed is I am using a new photoshop, but when I save my dds. it absolutely is saved as its told to be saved, hell Ive even saved it every possible way the dds options even allow me just to see which does what . The only file type it wont give the error on is an uncompressed one but it doesnt work in game, the thumb nail/ cas item shows up but when you click it , its invisible / not working. Using just a png does the same effect so I can't use a png for this either. I have tried dxt5 and dxt5a with alpha channel and without with other setting ticked. I seriously don't get whats wrong. Edit to add I have downloaded the nvidea plug in assist for it and ive been trying to save it with that the new one is apparently bc3 but it isnt working either. I can't exactly give this package to anyone to test cause its just a simple eye, i can't 'import' what im making, I have not had issues with something as simple as saving the texture correctly in a long time lol.

Hi. I'm not sure if this needs to be done for eyes, but try using png and then convert it to LRLE. Import png and Tools - modding - Conver RLE2 to LRLE

Eyes have been using the LRLE texture format in the game for a long time now, and several months ago the TS4 community finally cracked the LRLE format and S4S began supporting it, at which point the requirements for valid eye textures when importing to S4S changed from what they had been previously. DTX5 is the right DDS compression type for most TS4 texture formats, but not LRLE -- as the pop-up on the right says, they must be uncompressed, and DTX5 is not uncompressed. However, the solution should be shown in your middle screenshot -- the bottom item on the pulldown menu is Uncompressed. That's what you should use for either eye textures or makeup textures if you want to save in DDS format. (It's also a good idea to look around the rest of the DDS Options screen to see if anything on it gives you a choice that has either of the two strings of characters shown in the pop-up with all the 8s in them, because if there is one, you'll want to choose it.)
Mauvemorn is also correct -- like the pop-up says, PNG should be fine too. (I don't think it needs to be converted, though; as far as I know, you wouldn't be seeing the pop-up in the right-most screenshot unless the textures are already LRLE.) Just want to make sure you understand why the DDS is giving you trouble when it always worked before.
