Hi all! I'm new to making CC objects and I have this small issue that I can't figure out. Maybe someone will be able to help... So I'm making these decorative bars that attach to the ceiling but I don't know how to get the lighting to work properly on them. Instead of a smooth shadow transition along the objects they have these ugly divisions on them. I tried changing the shaders to "counters" but it didn't do anything. How I made this object: I cloned the Ecolifestyle vertical Lines On A Wall, I changed the object size and rotation in blender, and in S4Studio I changed the settings to make it a ceiling object. I tested it out in game and aside from the lighting issue it works just as I wanted it to. Here is a pic of the lighting issue: imgur.com/G9WlK9bI'll be grateful for any help with this because its driving me crazy lol I can't figure this out... I don't know if this is fixable, EA's lighting on objects is notoriously blocky (see: the recent uproar about the sectional pieces ending up wildly different tones)

Yeah I read about the sectional seating debacle but on MTS someone posted a fix for that issue by changing the lighting to "counter", which is what inspired me to try the counter shading as well. But it didn't work :(
I guess I'll have to find some other work around to the issue or make larger sizes of the bars...

You need to split the edges. After that, your bars will look like they should.
