Hello, all! I am a beginner to making my own cc, although I use it extensively. Here I've tried to recreate a shirt from the game Red Dead Redemption 2 by recolouring a shirt by SimsOnTheRope (not uploaded anywhere, just my personal practice). What does this texture, the suspenders, need to look more Maxis Match? It's my first attempt at painting a texture freehand and I don't quite know what to add to it, if anything. I wanted it to look like the braces were made out of leather. Would you as a user be happy if you downloaded some cc and it looked like this? To me it looks a bit amateurish, but I can't figure out what's wrong.

Hi. Maxis employs professional artists with degrees and provides the best equipment, painting textures just like them is very difficult. Fortunately, by now you can find pretty much anything you need among maxis items, including suspenders. Go to the main menu of s4s, click on Create mesh, in the search bar type in ymBody_ShortsHigh ( or ymBody_SP09Suspenders if you have that expansion pack, or ymBody_EP06CasualRolledSleeve) . These items comes with suspenders. Extract the texture, copy the suspenders and paste into your texture

Idk how to do this without Photoshop, but if you do happen to use Photoshop something I often do is find a texture I want to use on Google images (seamless, if available, so you can tile them without it being noticeable), and use the oil paint tool to make it look smoother and more cartoony, and then use smart sharpen to make it sharper.
