I can't open certain .package files?

For some reason I can't open certain .package files and I don't understand why? I can open most packages no problem but right now I've found two specific ones that won't open. When I try to open the files sims4studio just shuts down, I don't even really get an error message (an error message appeared once but I haven't seen it again).

Both files are maxis recolours that I made earlier this year.

Do anyone here have any idea on why this is happening?

(I'm running version 1.3.2.7 (Apple blossom), I'm on Mac)
