Hello everyone, was wondering if anyone can share some insight. I'm using Marvelous Designer 10 and Blender 2.79 and 2.70. When I imported the dress object on Blender 2.79, I noticed the UV map is larger than usual. Is this normal? I already went to the UV Editor in MD to fit to size. Here is the image to view what I'm seeing. Any help is appreciated

Hi. Hi. In newer versions of MD you should do this before exporting the mesh: 1). switch to uv editor 2). RMB-click in the window, choose Set uv from pattern alignment 3). then Fit uv to unified (0-1) Also, you do not need 2.7. But before you delete it, change Blender path in s4s settings to 2.79 if it was set to 2.7. After that restart Blender if it was opened and check if it has s4studio cas tools. If it does, delete 2.7. If it does not, use 2.7 only as a bridge (or you can delete both 2.7 and 2.79 and download a stable version, 2.76) There are two key differences in 2.7 and 2.76-2.79 that give people problems. When you click on Transfer weights in 2.7, all vertex groups and values are transferred, in 2.76-2.79 only the values of the active group. All you need to do is change that setting (it’s called Source layer..., change to By Name). However, changing a few more settings will give you a lot better results -make sure both the reference and your garment are visible and selectable; - select the reference, shift-select the garment, in weight paint mode click on Transfer weights, set it like in the pic, then choose Clean with All groups and Limit total. Another difference is that in vertex paint the shading is not flat, so you can switch it to bounding box to sample the color [/quote]
