Hi everyone ~
Hope that my question makes sense. How do you refer to specific objects? Say, for instance, I want a Sim to get a buff when near or while interacting with a specific object, how would you do this? Or I want to create a goal where someone has to harvest a specific plant, e.g. mushrooms, how would I do this?
I know how to test for buffs, traits etc. But I'm not sure how to reference a specific object? I have found places where they refer to build tags in general, but not for only a single object?
I hope that this makes sense? Thank you so much in advance for any help, or just pointing me in a direction where I can find help.
I used the words 'specific object' so many times omg sorry

Since you asked for someone to point you in the right direction, it seems to me that MizoreYukii seems to know the most about this. She has some tutorials here. And her profile page is here. I will sometimes go through the posts of people on here that I know are very good at certain things (most problems can be addressed via a search of this site or a search of the posts of people who know what they are doing). Maybe MizoreYukii will even see your post and chime in It seems to me at least that what you want to do will involve XML tuning though I have never attempted this myself so I'm not sure of this. There are some tutorials on this site regarding tuning. Whether they will help you or not, I don't know. But, maybe they are at least worth a quick scan.

By their object definition. You can either use the object-preview cheat, or use the override option on the main menu, to glance at an object's definition, then copy it and open your hash generator and paste where it says Hexadecimal, then copy the number that appeared in Decimal. Paste the Decimal number wherever you need to for testing or summoning/creating an object. Note that each swatch counts as a different object definition (and technically object).
