Is there a way to make an object hang on the wall instead of sitting on the floor?

Try this tutorial. It came from here but the image is missing. I made PDF versions of every tutorial on this site for that very reason--images tend to go missing. You could also just clone a shelf or a wall painting and import your textures and meshes into that.

I stared at that tutorial for too long last night trying to figure out how to reverse engineer it, but unless there is a number that means wall slot I'm not sure it will work.
Uploading the mesh to a cloned wall object sounds like a pretty good idea though...

Yes you can use a poster , a decal , a wall light even a window to make a wall object . The choice depends what you want your item to do . Just use one of the above as base to put your item . Keep in mind to that poster and decal is 1 simple model with 1 simple mesh while the others get more complicate . So if you bump in to dead end come back and we can talk more :P .
Have fun <3 .

Thanks everyone! I tried basing the mesh on another wall object but was still having some issues. Turns out that problem was just my mesh being off-center, otherwise this probably would have worked fine. I ended up doing some more digging around in the program and found an easy way to make anything go on a wall. In Warehouse go to Object Catalog>PlacementFlagsLow and select AdjustHeightOnWall and EdgeAgainstWall. You will need to make sure that the back of your mesh is along the X Axis or the object will clip through the wall.

I want to thank you all for making my rug a tapestry quickly and easily. My rug has irregular edges and I have been wondering what method to use. Now I have the answer here! :D
