Hello, guys!
I have just started today creating meshes and I just downloaded both Blender 2.70 and 2.79 after designing a top in Marvelous Designer. The problem is that after I exported the mesh from S4S, I went to 2.79, as the tutorial was saying, and opened the blend created earlier. After that, I tried importing the obj. from Marvelous Designer, however the whole top looks messed up. I have read that the 2.79 version might not work properly, so I tried with other versions, but no luck. Then, I went to add-ons and I tried enabling the sims 4 blender library. However, I received the following message (I am not in editing mode):
report: error traceback (most recent call last): file: "c:\program files\blender\2.70\scripts\modules\addon_utils.py", line 312, in enable mod.register()
attribute error: 'module' object has no attribute 'register'
What can I do?

Hi. It is best to not watch tutorials that tell you to download 2.7. They are made by people who do not know how to transfer weights and switch shading in the newer versions, which takes a few minutes to google and find out, so it is best to not learn from people who did not think of doing that before teaching others. Top looking messed up is not the type of problem that happens with 2.79. The problem is the plugin not appearing. Do the following: - in s4s settings change the blender path to 2.79 location (where it is installed, not where the icon is) - close s4s and blender is it was opened; - open s4s, clone a bra/tank top, export the blend, open it in 2.79; - select the meshgroup and check if there is s4studio cas tools; - if there is, you can delete 2.7 and any other versions. If there is not, s4s cannot support 2.79 on your computer. Delete it and install 2.76. Either way, delete 2.7 As for the mesh looking weird, if you exported with the material, delete it and do not export materials from md again, blender does render them correctly. You will have to re-do uvs anyway, so that is not something you need to do in MD to begin with. If you did not, share the blend file please

Thanks for replying!
I have tried both on 2.79 and 2.76 version, but none has the s4s studios cas tools. The only one that has it is 2.70. In terms of the mesh looking weird, I might know what's the problem. While working in MD, I used one of their avatars instead of using the one that you have listed for Sims here on S4S. That's why it might now blend - because, I exported it without the material (like, the sleeves look okay, it's only the color and the avatar which do not blend). I have tried earlier to download the MD avatar but I am not sure if it is still possible to gain access to it.

Just to make sure, did you restart blender? closed and opened it? are your 2.76 and 2.79 installed on the c drive? What is the path to them? Try this in 2.79 Make sure your Blender path looks like this: _:\____\Blender\blender.exe. Save, restart s4s and blender. If this thing won't appear, then go to File - User preferences, click on Install from file button, navigate to _:\______\Sims4Studio\Blender\Scripts\, and choose io_sims.py, click on Install from file, close and open Blender and s4s again. you must use ts4 body to make clothing. There is no need to download the avatar from anyone, just make it yourself. - clone a lingerie set, export the blend, open it; - unfold the rig, check if head_2 is the head or the mouth cavity by hiding and unhiding it with the eye icon; - if it is, make it selectable. If not, make head selectable. Make feet selectable as well; - select the feet, shift-select the real head and the body (s4studio_mesh_1); - file - export - wavefront(.obj), check Selection only; - in MD, right-click on the avatar, delete it. File - Add - Avatar, choose the exported file

Apparently, I have tried a couple of times more with downloading and installing the 2.79 version and now I have the S4S CAS tools. One of the main problems is that the feet are missing whenever I try creating a mesh in S4S. It only works if I put on shoes. Do you know if I can solve this problem somehow?

This seem to be a bug that happens to some people, need to wait until the developers will do something about it

I believe it doesn't have anything to do with creating the avatar or the mesh not working in blender, right?

Yes, you can clone and export shoes, then do the same process but select the top, bottom, head, shoes

Hi. Just wanted to share this link. It's all the Sims 4 avatars. And I've got a tutorial in my signature that may help. Honestly, most of it is advice Mauvemorn has given over the past couple of years, lol. One thing that's not included in my tutorial is a mention of MD 11's new retopology feature. I haven't made anything with MD for a while so I can't attest to that new tool but it's worth a try. MD typically produces meshes with terrible topology.

Thank you so much both of you for the advice. I am a beginner and that's why I am so confused and lost for now. Been in lots of Facebook groups about cc and whenever someone asks "how did you do that", they would send you to watch tutorials on yt. Thank you once again, guys!
