Hello 👋🏻 it's there someone post 'how to make hq mod like hair & clothes turn to non hq' i need to make lower cuz my game getting lag from hq cc i been searching through all websites but no hope :(
Ps:i really want that hq clothes and hair but is taking 50 minutes to load...

Hi. You’re googling the wrong thing. In the sims community, HQ (high quality) is a term used to regard the modification of the graphics-related file, which forces the game to render bigger textures. The word you’re looking for is High-poly. Polycount is a number of units (in ts4 case, tris) the 3d model is made of. High-poly - high polycount. Anyway, how to reduce the polycount will depend on its topology. If you’re reducing someone else’s polycount, use decimate modifier. - export the blend, select the first meshgroup, in edit mode press A and remove doubles with merge distance set to 0,0001; - add decimate, start decimating while watching for mesh/texture distortions in 3d view if you’re making something yourself in md, watch this

Okay. I already figured out myself how to make the cc lower poly hair or clothes. by the way isn't that make the cc look weird?

Yes, decimate ruins the topology and can rip the uvs but there is not much else you can do to other people’s cc without remaking the whole item
