I'm using S4S 3.1.5.8 and Blender 2.70 (because that's what S4S told me I needed, lol.)
Hello! I've been using S4S for awhile, but I haven't attempted something like this and it's thoroughly confusing me. I've searched up and down for a tutorial, but I can't find anything applicable. I want to take an EA deco object (from Blooming Rooms) and make it into a Flower Arranging Table (from Seasons.) I've made some attempts, but they haven't really worked. I tried exporting the deco item's mesh and importing it and its textures to a .package made from the Flower Arranging Table; I'm not sure if this is the best way to go about it, but maybe it is? I can't really get that to work properly, though. I exported the mesh I wanted to use and imported it into the package made with the Flower Arranging Table, got an error about a vertex group, deleted said vertex group, and imported again. It seemed to work! Then I imported the texture. And that... worked... less. I think I'm missing a step? Involving UVs, perhaps? No idea how or what to fix, though.
I also tried sort of copying applicable steps from a tutorial to convert TS2 items into TS4 (I didn't have a lot to go on, it seemed the most helpful thing, lol) by importing the deco item's mesh into the flower arranging table's .blend in Blender, then deleting said original mesh. Weirdly enough, when I import that, S4S straight-up just shows the original flower arranging table, despite the fact that it 100% looks like the deco item I want to use when I open the file in Blender.
I am absolutely, 100% sure I have done something stupid and/or am missing something painfully obvious; please go easy on me about that and I'm quite sorry for wasting your time, lol. I've only messed with textures and tuning thus far. I really want to figure this out and keep growing as a creator!
