I’m trying to make a sign that hangs from the ceiling but every time I join it with another ceiling decor from sims it looks messed up in game. I haven’t been able to find any forums or videos on this..how do people make ceiling decor??

Any particular reason you cloned a rug for your final package? Rugs are tuned a certain way and use a specific shader (A shader is just a mathematical formula computers use to dictate how light behaves in the game. The goal is to mimic real life). Clone the hanging pots (or another ceiling decor that's just a sculpture) instead and use that for your final package. Export the EA mesh and open it in Blender. Then append your mesh. Note that this is a recycled screenshot. #3 would be whatever you named your mesh which, in your case, is s4studio_mesh_0. If you end up appending an extra rig and/or bone_bone_shape just delete them. You should have one rig, the EA mesh, and your mesh. Move your mesh so that it's the same height as the EA mesh, give your mesh the same cut number that the EA mesh has then delete the EA mesh. Now, you should have just your mesh with the proper cut number and a rig. Save your file. There are a few things you can do to improve this mesh and bring down the polycount. The...ropes (?) have a lot of unnecessary vertical edges. Go into edge select mode, hold alt + shift and select every other edge. Then X > dissolve edges. You can dissolve horizontal edges and some of the edges of the rings, as well. If the polycount is low enough you can use the same mesh for all of the LODs. Delete anything inside your mesh that won't be seen as well. Look for any faces that are overlapping. When faces are on top of each other you get mesh flickering. This is called Z-fighting and it's not something you want.
