Hi. Separate that portion of the mesh that was modifier and re-transfer the weights and uv_1 to it from the top of the same length or a bit longer. Then join it back with the other meshgroup, remove doubles in the area where it was split both in 3d and in the uv editor on both uv maps, then vertex paint the mesh with 00ff00.
