Hi everyone! I'm new to making cc and i've come as far as the baking part. For some reason the background of the baking thing shows up black? Does anyone know why and how to solve it? I believe im not overlapping at the uv map, but i don't know the reason either. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you! Baking result; i.imgur.com/Cq3VWIX.pngSettings: i.imgur.com/1WHA8Q0.png

Hi. You need to disable rendering for all overlapping items like body parts under the rig, the reference, etc If this won’t help, share the blend file please (also, you should set margin to at least 7)

The rendering for overlapping body parts is not disabled. Click on these camera icons to disable it There are other issues unrelated to this one: - when choosing a reference for weight and uv transfer, always take something of the same length or longer, never shorter. See how in the image above the whole bottom of the hoodie is smashed? It will not morph as the lower body it covers which will result in clipping. Same goes for weights; - in md model in quads and keep Particle distance high or retopologize the mesh. Right now it is shaded like cramped paper because of topology; - if you were to look on the inside of the hood, you'd see that it is see-through. You need to add the other side but only in that area; - do not scale uv islands individually unless the difference in the texture quality is acceptable. You can make buttons/zipper/etc's uvs bigger(can use extra definition) or uvs of the geometry that covers holes smaller(not noticeable), but there should be no difference between patterns of the same garment( front, bottom, sleeves,hood); - try to avoid the bottom right corner because everybody puts everything there and you end up with CAS full of items that cannot be used together. Everything fits just fine in the corresondng areas; - also, just so you know, the nails are no longer unwrapped there, maxis changed that. They are above sleeves now;
