Hey everyone - I am making some CC and need some help. Background : I have made multiple CC clothing before using blender and s4s The Issue : After I go into Blender 2.70 and apply my weight paints, I go into 2.79 to go ahead and add vertex paints. However - when loading back into 2.79 after weight paint, (rough // hard edges ) This has never happened before and prevents these meshes from being imported into S4S. I have looked every where for a solution but cannot seem to find one

Hi. Select the garment, change Auto smooth to 80. Also, you do not need to use 2.7 so long your 2.79 can accept the plugin. In s4s settings change the path to the installation folder of 2.79, save, close 2.79 if opened, open again, check if s4studio cas tools is present. If present, transfer weights and vertex paint in 2.79 There are two key differences in 2.7 and 2.76-2.79 that give people problems. When you click on Transfer weights in 2.7, all vertex groups and values are transferred, in 2.76-2.79 only the values of the active group. All you need to do is change that setting (it’s called Source layer..., change to By Name). However, changing a few more settings will give you a lot better results -make sure both the reference and your garment are visible and selectable; - select the reference, shift-select the garment, in weight paint mode click on Transfer weights, set it like in the pic, then choose Clean with All groups and Limit total. Another difference is that in vertex paint the shading is not flat, so you can switch it to bounding box to sample the color
