Hey everyone! I hope this is the best place to post this thread. I am new to creating CC and Mods. In fact this is my first piece 😬 I have run into a bit of an issue when I Export my mesh from MD to Import into Blender. It seems when I import the mesh into blender it doesn't show up well ? I have some screen shots of what I am seeing if it helps any. Basically only the front of the shirt is visible (...kinda?) But the entire outline is there when I enter edit mode. It's just making it difficult to see when I am deleting vertices under the shirt. TO be upfront I am VERY VERY new to this. but I do have a professional background in Graphic Design so I get the idea to most of this. If it matters at all I am using a Macbook. I have made a google docs with screenshots of what I am looking at if this helps for finding out where I am going wrong. Thank you in advance for any help or insight you all can provide me! 💚 docs.google.com/document/d/1mMqN9uA0u3lepHnTyk8kAGgtgpzmJmYMnqbW_Ti95DE/edit?usp=sharing

Hi. If you were to look at the garment from the back, you'd see that those patterns are darker in color. In MD patterns are shaded as two sided, they have "the back" that is darker. In Blender they are one sided, they only have the front and "the back" is transparent. Basically, some of the patterns are facing one side and some the other side. You need to either flip them in MD (RMB-click on them and choose Flip) or in Blender (in Edit mode select everything with A, Mesh - Normals - Recalculate outside)

Thank you first for your response! So, I Went back into MD and Flipped them but now the Dark side is on the outside... and That surely not right. So I flipped them again. All light colors are showing on the outside. I exported and imported into Blender again and BOOM Same Problem... I'm not sure where I am going wrong...

Did nothing change at all? Are you sure the file was overwritten? If yes, just flip them in blender. Export the garment as Weld and Thin, in case you do not

Ah, from other angles it's clear that this is a different situation. You are not meant to export textures from MD, there is no point in doing it because you will be re-doing the uvs in Blender and baking new ones anyway. Just uncheck this option during export or delete the material in Blender, it will look normal
Also, just so we're clear, s4s does not support the new (2.8+) versions of blender, so once you're done, you'll need to get the mesh in the supported version. If the author of ts4-themed tutorial you're following adapts the garment in the new version of blender, they will show you how to get it in the old one to assign cuts before import. If they are using an old version, it is best if you follow it in the old version, otherwise it will be harder for you ( the interface is very different)

Thank you Thank you Thank you! that worked perfectly!! In Regards to the Blender version. Do you think they will ever update that?? The New layout of Blender works lovely on my Mac. the older version is horrid on my Mac. Drives my crazy!

It would take a lot of time and effort to re-do and maintain the plugin for older and newer versions(there are a lot of them, need to adapt to all) of blender, so it would make sense to do it only if the older versions will stop being supported by windows/mac entirely.
You can work in newer versions but you will have a hard time following the tutorial. It is a better idea to learn in the old version and then adapt the routine to the new one, if needed. You should be able to adjust how the interface is displayed in the settings
