Hello,
I'm a newbie to the forum, and I apologize if this is in the wrong place, but I couldn't find the Error Reporting Section that was mentioned in the Creator Discussion & Feedback FAQ. I did search both Google and the Forum here first to try to find an answer to my specific problem, but could not find the answer.
Background: Yesterday, I experienced a Better Exception report that listed an item of CC that I had never downloaded, called "Immortal Candles" by KiwiSims4, listed under the "Recent Tuning Logs" section. I couldn't figure out where this item was that was supposedly in my mods folder. A helpful member of a Discord suggested that an item of CC I had downloaded may have been cloned from this "Immortal Candles" item, and I could use the Warehouse tab in Sims 4 Studio to find it.
Using Sims 4 Studio, I was able to pinpoint the problematic lamp of CC that had been cloned from this item. However, even though I never clicked anything, or saved any changes (I just read the info about each piece of CC and then exited out until I found it) when I checked the Sims 4 Studio logs for that day, I saw phrases like "Unexpected end-group in source data; this usually means the source data is corrupt" and "Invalid wire-type; this usually means you have over-written a file without truncating or setting the length; see stackoverflow.com/q/2152978/23354" - I visited the aforementioned website and sadly, did not understand a word of it. I'm worried that even though I did not make or save any changes to the CC, that based on the log (which I admittedly don't really know how to interpret) that I did something wrong.
Question: I was wondering if anyone could tell me if what I am reading in the log is anything to worry about, and if so, what would be the best way to go about and fix it?
I would attach the Log File, but it looks like that is not an option for me (perhaps because I am new here) so I tried to copy and paste it below, however I am being told this exceeds the character limit. If someone could explain where or how to upload the Log File, I would be happy to do so.
Again, I apologize if I am asking in the wrong place.
I'm new to Sims 4 Studio, but am finding it very helpful for a variety of purposes, and I look forward to learning more about it.
Thank you,
AalyahReed
