Hello, I don't know where else to ask for help regarding this, but there is a bug when it comes to the "natural" short nails in the spa day pack, at least for me, it is not mods that causes it as there are others who have the same problem. The bug causes the nails to become solid white and hot pink, not transparent'ish with natural colors like they originally have. As shown here: answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-Natural-Nails-colors-now-white-pink/td-p/11040485So I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix it ourselves? as it has been an issue at least since December last year, and I have no idea how long EA will take to fix it. I assume it has something to do with the transparency but I have no clue where to even look for a solution to that on the sims 4 studio program. Hope you guys don't mind me asking this here. Thank you c:

Were you able to determine what item specifically has this issue(hover on it in the catalogue and you will see the name, for example, yfAcc_ManiGP02CoffinMatte)? I think i looked through all nails that looked like the ones in the pic and, first, none of them had simglass shader which can cause this problem, second, i did not get the problem in cas.

It doesn't seem to affect everyone but as you can see on the post I linked a few others do have the same problem, even without mods installed or anything. I've tried repairing the game, tried removing mods but nothing seems to fix this issue.

Huh. It is not exactly a "bug" but a minor mistake? I assume that they just assigned wrong swatch colors This is not a bug in a sense that the textures are intentionally painted with these bright colors, they look like this in s4s and on the thumbnail. The transparency is not added neither to the textures, nor as the shader. Most people probably do not notice the difference in the color of the swatch and the nails.
However, if you want to change them, you can: - on the s4s main menu choose Override and click on CAS, find both colors for one frame, create a package, save in mods; - export both diffuse textures as png; - open photoshop/photopea or any other image editing software; - this is how you'd do this in photoshop/ photopea: if you want the hot pink to be less bright, Image - Adjustment - Hue/Saturation, adjust Saturation and Lightness. If you want to add transparency, just choose Eraser tool and change Opacity to 50% or something, then just "erase" the nails; - once done, save, re-import in s4s

However I will try what you said as a temporary fix.

Well, for whatever reason they changed it intentionally and updated the thumbnails (also intentionally). Alpha channels do not go from black and grey to black and white on their own, so that was a Choice, if you will.
it is possible that they created new nails that had the same exact identifiers as the old ones or sometime like this, but it is very unlikely. S4s can do it because it is used by thousands of people independently but the official Maxis software should keep track of it
