After I updated my sims game s4s keeps indexing every time I open it. I'm using latest version 3.1.5.8. I tried reinstalling s4s and restarting my computer but nothing is working. I know it's supposed to index after the first time you updated your files but not after that? What can I do?

Hi. Try deleting s4s from Documents folder. It will re-index again and that might be the last time. If won’t help, maybe try repairing the game

Hello. I have the same issue with the latest version (3.2.0.3). I tried everything mentioned in this thread with no success. Repairing didnt work? Maybe try running it as admin or giving s4s permission to do everything as explained in both replies

Still no luck but thanks for your suggestions (and prompt reply). What I find strange is that I've been using s4s regularly (and many of its features) for some years now and I've never encountered this issue before. I suspect it's linked with the recent star version.

I know it's been a while, but just in case someone is stuck with the same problem as I was, I've finally discovered was the issue was. Don't install anything in your Sims 4 installation folder. I used to install S4S in it as well as Sims 4 Tray Importer. I don't know why, but after a certain update (I'm not sure which), S4S tries to index those external installation folders. Just deinstall those programs and reinstall them somewhere else if you encounter the same issue.
