How do I prevent my CAS CC from spiking up in the gallery and CAS icon?
Here is how it looks on CAS/Gallery so far: imgur.com/NthFkwc
If it helps to see the files (package and blender), I have them on this folder: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1PtoxjAlmve1zfkdyvvLZTs5hfGqOi07A?usp=sharing
I included the blender files where I joined the two cuts of 0005 together and one where I did not join them.
Thanks!

Hi. Please do not create new threads for the same issue, you can just bump ( write "bump" and post it in the old thread) the existing thread. You cloned ymBody_SDX003HanbokCHJ, an outfit that is split in 10 meshgroups in a specific way. Each of them exists in a specific area of the body and is affected by specific bones. cuBody_EP02ZipUpOnesie, in which you imported the edited blend, is made a bit differently and yours must be made just like that. To fix your current blend file, you need to: - open hanbok_child_m_unjoined_meshgroups, select s4studio_mesh_1.001, in uv editor enable sync, select the uvs of the neck, in 3d view press Delete, choose Faces; - select s4studio_mesh_7 first, then s4studio_mesh_1.001, press Ctrl J to join - select s4studio_mesh_1.001, disable Limit selection to visible, press B, click and drag to select the shoes, press P, choose Selection; - select separated shoes, shift select s4studio_mesh_10.001 (in this order!), press Ctrl J; - clone cuBody_EP02ZipUpOnesie again, import your blend there, in the warehouse tab select CAS part, in the search bar to the left type Exclude, paste 000000000000D100 into ExcludePartFlags

Thanks for your help! And sorry about creating this as a new thread. I thought of this as a new issue because of the spiking up as opposed to my previous issue with shoes. I'll keep that in mind when I post again in the future.

Hi,
I tried all of the above steps but it still keeps spiking in the thumbnail of CAS and gallery and sim profile in game. Seems to be functioning properly in the actual gameplay though.

I had no problem, did you create a new package or used the old one?Are you sure you're seeing the new package?

I tried both the old one and a new one but they both show up spiking in the thumbnail and sim profile.

Remove yours from the game and try this one, will it spike?

Your file doesn't spike. I see you used the giraffe onesie instead of the solid color onesie. Would it be better to clone with that one?

The texture does not matter. Share your updated blend, the one that you fixed but it still spikes

Well, the hanbok has a skirt-like bottom and shoes, meaning it is affected by skirt, feet and toe bones. Out of these the onesie has only the feet bones, so the rest might spike. They do for some people and not others (me). There is no cas item for children that comes with all these bones, so you will have to delete the skirt bones and possibly separate the shoes Try the following: - select s4studio_mesh_1.001, find skirt bones, delete them; - normalize weights - best to restart the package; - check how the mesh behaves on the highest settings in cas; - if the toes spike, you'll have to separate the shoes

Thank you so much for your help!! I removed the bones for the feet and toes and in the game, there was no more spiking in any of the thumbnails. I gained a lot of knowledge on how to navigate through Blender thanks to you

Why did you remove foot and toe bones? the feet will not move properly without them. Skirt bones are not necessarily, foot and toe bones are needed

There is no cas item for children that comes with all these bones, so you will have to delete the skirt bones and possibly separate the shoes Oh I thought you said feet and toe bones above? Sorry if I misunderstood. Your screenshot also showed removing the feet so I thought that's what I had to do? I thought that was the skirt bone since I couldn't find a bone titled "skirt". I only removed the feet at first but it spiked. After removing the toes, it stopped spiking. The skirt remains in my package. Should I have removed that too? I moved the shoes into 10.001 as you suggested in a previous post where I connected it to the bottom of the pants. That's why I think the feet and toe bone remain there?

only skirt bones, the foot bones are present in the original package and the toes are necessary for correct animation. The screenshot is from a different thread and added to show where the buttons are. It would take a lot of time to make new ones for every occasion - select s4studio_mesh_1.001, find skirt bones, delete them; - normalize weights See how the mesh distorts in the leg area? that is where a skirt bone is As i said, if the toe bones spike, you will have to separate shoes. There is only one full body outfit that has toe bones but it is made of one meshgroup. To use it, you'll have to join all meshgroups, remove doubles, split sharp edges, another round of headache. Separating shoes into a shoe package is easier and faster
