I've searched the forum for this and can't find anything. I was wondering if there was a way to make my hair recolor package file smaller. I see a lot of other creators who recolors are so much smaller than my files and wanted to know how.

Some hair creators use image sizes that are double the size of EA's image sizes. If you recolor a hair like that and use the same image sizes then your hair recolor.package will be larger than that of someone who uses EA sized images. If you include more swatches this will increase the size of your .package compared with one that has fewer swatches also.

Okay. Makes since, but I'm mainly recoloring EA's hairs. There is another cc recolorist by the name of Holosprite that does the same colors I'm using (Pooklet and Nyren pastels). Their file sizes are much smaller than mine, even though I'm recoloring the same base game hair they've already done. The file sizes should be the same right?

I would have to see the two files that you think should be the same and are not to answer that question.

Okay. I'm dumb. It seems that I messed up and messed up the hairs I was talking about. I seems I merged together other packages that didn't belong in the original hair file. I just finished redoing that hair and it's much smaller than it originally was. Ignore my derpyness please.
