Hi.
- there are a lot of loose geometry in the scene, so you should start by deleting it. Select the top, in Edit mode select everything with A, Mesh - Clean up - Delete loose;
- select the body, delete all areas of it covered by clothing. They serve no purpose, only occupy the uv space and increase the polycount; - select the top, choose uv_0, select all uvs with A, move them outside of the uv space; - join the top with the body; - with only the garment's uvs still selected, set this template as the background; - press S Y 0.5 to shrink the garment's uvs to their original size, then arrange them in the space meant for them. Try to prioritize the upper body area and avoid the bottom right corner (everybody puts everything there and you end up with CAS full of cc that cannot be used together)
