only have cats now. Last spring we had to do the humane thing and put our dog to sleep. I still cry about it. It's so hard to make that decision and we miss him so much, I can't even tell you. We have four cats now. I've posted some of Mary-Jane but here is another: When my husband came home from work and found she had knocked all our papers off the kitchen island plus the fruit basket....she was actually underneath the basket and was trying to walk with it on her, like a turtle! *sorry for the bad quality cell phone picture*

simtress and orangemittens I forgot to mention that Simba is a boy . He was named after lion Simba from Disney movie "Lion-King". Yes, Simba knows how to be cute . simtress that picture of the cat under the basket is super-funny :D. Honestly I can't imagine four cats in the house, just can make a huuuuge mess and I just imagine the power of four cats :D. simtress yes, he is a purebred abyssinian cat (he is not a show-pet or for breeding, he is a pet). That's a great decision to walk your cats on the leash. I have so many stories about lost/killed cats who were let outside. I started walking Simba on the leash when we moved from New York City to suburbia of California. He didn't express any interest for walking when we lived in the city, moreover he was horrified whenever I was carrying him out of the apartment. In California he started trying to sneak out of the house, there are a lot of squirrels, birds that he was watching through the window, so probably he just got bored and I decided to walk him on the leash outside from time to time. It's actually really scary when he tries to run away from apartment when he is bored. We have lots of coyotes roaming around the neighborhood at night. They are fast, smart and know that people have small vulnerable pets that make an easy prey...

Feyona I've heard of coyotes killing small animals, I would totally be keeping my cats on leashes and definitely not letting them outside at night. Our neighbour's cat got killed by a car. We don't walk our cats down the road (like you do with a dog) lol! They would be terrified of cars on the street. We stay in our back yard and they seem totally fine on the leash. They don't pull or put up a fuss at all. I wish we could let them out on their own but it's better to be safe. They're like our children tbh. Simba is absolutely gorgeous. What a stunning animal. I think it's really nice that you have him for a pet and not for showing. Not that there's anything wrong with a show cat or dog....I just like them for petting and cuddling though :D

simtress that's so sad about the cat being killed by a car. I would be devastated if anything happened to my cat. I don't walk him like dogs . He is on a short leash and always very close to me (coyotes can attack small dog or cat if they walk to far from the owner). You are right, it's like watching a kid. I didn't want to participate in any shows since there are no perks for cats unless they will participate in breeding program. When I lived in Ukraine I attended many cat shows. There is a lot of noise, people, kids around the cats. Pets are extremelly stressed and there is always a chance to get some virus even if the cat is vaccinated. Simba is neutered (he wasn't good for breeding anyways), so he is just a spoiled brat happy pet

We got an old dresser and our one cat Bella, loves to go in the drawers. She's a 'drawer' cat lol! Any dresser drawer that we open she always comes snooping around to see if she can fit inside. She curls up and purrs and purrs. She huddles way at the back of the drawer and purrs. But she doesn't stay in there...as soon as we leave her she comes out. She's quite timid and she has big eyes for her small head. Bella would definitely not share her drawer with Mary Jane. Mary Jane knows this and keeps her distance.

Here is my babe "Mavi". We aren't completely sure what breed she is but we think she is or at least part Persian. She is a sweetheart. She likes to steal my spot when I get up haha. & here is "Flo" she know lives with my mom and we actually think she may be pregnant. She was such an oddball, haha.
