Pardon my buddies in Discord, Just wanted to get this off my chest while I was playing a game with them.
I have been looking into how to create sliders for The Sims 4 in Blender. I've been doing great with Body presets. I've done about 8 meshes and I'm quite comfortable with my skills. Most of what I know in Blender is just from Body Preset creation, and I've been looking into sliders now. My only issue here is, I dont quite understand the purpose of the Robe models. I've heard you need them for Sliders, but You kinda don't. Don't know how much of that is true. What I've heard is, you need it to make sure sliders don't collide with clothing. My only issue is, I cant seem to get the Robe model to edit symmetrically.
I did notice the Robe model was asymmetric, and taking Topology Mirroring solved 90% of the issue. I'm still getting very few vertices ignoring Mirroring. Of course, I could just make my edit then fix the ones that don't work, but that would just make more mess to clean up. I would rather just do it correctly.
The YouTube Vid has a demonstration of what the issue is.
As seen in the vid, I have my SkinTight, and Robe Models in Blender ready to edit. I thought maybe if I edited them both at the same time, I could ensure there was no error in the Robe model. But I can't get the robe model to blend symmetrically. (I have imported them by themselves, and edited single model. The SkinTight has no issues and the Robe does.)
I first launch blender (Obviously haha). I start my work from the "Layout" tab at the top of the screen. I simply run the cursor at the stock location when Blender is launched (0, 0, 0). I then import my models and delete the other existing models. After so, I select my objects and turn on "edit Mode" Once done, I click on "Object Data Properties". After that, I access the "Options" Menu by pressing "N". Then I begin my blend. And This is where the problem occurs.
If A Robe model is absolutely not needed, (which I'm sure it absolutely is) please clear that up.
If there is something "I" am doing wrong in Blender, What is that? Or is there something wrong with my Blender?
