Hi. Blender render and cycles use different materials. If you want to bake the texture in blender render, create a new material with blender render selected. Same for cycles

Making new materials didn't work for me. They still show up as blank. When I switch between the two renders, the materials are always there. I also still can't get the bake option to appear when in cycles. I've tried selecting and clicking everything, but nothing works

are you trying to re-bake textures after re-arranging? If yes, you dont need cycles for that - switch the rendering engine to blender render here, not in the rendering tab; - switch to the material tab, create a new one; - switch to Texture tab, create a new texture, click on the drop down menu or Open choose the right texture; - switch to Edit mode, select the whole mesh with A, assign this material to the whole mesh.
