I've been wanting some toddler beds which match the beds given with various expansion/game packs and I can find CC of them, except I find content creators are more drawn to creating frames and mattresses separately. I'm the opposite, as the mass of mattresses and frames in my build/buy catalogue stressed me out in the past when I tried them. For my own personal use, I wish to merge the mattress meshes with the bed frame mesh and edit the textures to have them as just one object, but I have no idea how to do that so I'm looking for some advice on how to combine them and have the one object function normally as a bed.

You can do this but the most important thing is to be sure the weights are correct. Beds are animated and weights (bones, joints, vertex groups--they all mean the same thing) are needed for this. You would need to clone a bed and open the mesh in Blender then append your mesh. Separate the bed from the mattress of the EA mesh (optional but helpful, IMO). Do the same with yours. The frame of your mesh should be assigned to transformBone and nothing else (all static objects use transformBone). Make sure your mattress has no weights assigned to it then transfer the weights from the EA mattress to your mattress. Delete the EA meshes. Join your mattress and frame. Make sure it has the right cut number and save your file. If you need more help just ask.
