Hi Everyone, First, I just want to say how grateful I am for this message board. I'm slowly learning how to make CC and have made 20 non-ugly hair meshes after getting support here. I maybe ask dumb questions but I find a way to solve them even when the learning curve is steep. (Look me up. All my questions have been solved.) Okay, I made a hair mesh using torus(es) mostly but I have no idea how to join them with the mesh. It's different than planes, clearly. I'm linking the mesh and a picture of what I'm going for. If anyone could help me, I'd be so grateful! Thanks in advance.

Hi. - in Object tab enable Wire to see the wireframe; - in the Data tab expand Texture space and enable Use uv for mapping. This will automatically generate uvs; - you should reduce the polycount by adjusting Preview U and Preview V; - then in 3d view press Alt C to convert them to mesh; - it seems that you duplicated the mesh by accident at some point, so select everything in Object mode and remove doubles with Merge distance set to 0,0001; - also, the toruses in the blend look thicker than in the pic. If this is not intentional, you can make them thinner this way: select everything, then Alt S, move the mouse; - select the uv map called Orto, in 3d view select everything with A, in Uv editor select everything as well. Press S X 0.36 to adjust so that they are not too stretched. This number may be lower if you will make the toruses thinner; - if you would like to see the seams, UVs - Seams from islands.

Wow! This worked like a dream! Thank you. In CAS, when I zoom in the front circle disappears and the hair sort of slides back. I think that means there's a weights problem. Any ideas? Thanks again!

Yes, the toruses are assigned to b__Pelvis__ and b__Spine2__ affects the top of the head. also: 1). this issue remained on some of them and is more severe now. You'd need to zoom onto each torus, check if you see overlapping, select one face on either of them, press Ctrl L, then Delete - Faces. - it seems that you duplicated the mesh by accident at some point, so select everything in Object mode and remove doubles with Merge distance set to 0,0001; 2). The mesh is vertex painted with wrong colors. You should just transfer vertex paint from some short hair like yfHair_ShortTextured. You should also transfer the weights from it, but delete the old ones first. And you may re-transfer the uv_1 from this hair as well because there are some stray pieces that are not where they should be 3). Delete uv_2. It wont be imported but just so you know that it is not meant to be on anything other than the head
