Hello everyone!
Can we transfer weights in Blender 3.3.1? I couldn't find any guide about it.
Any help will be appreciated
Greetings,
B.

Hi. It's pretty much the same but you don't need to use Clean tool anymore 1). Find a reference of the same overall shape as your item. If you are making a top that does not go below the navel or in the head area, you can use "top" under the rig as your reference. If you are making pants/shorts that do not go below the ankles or above the navel, use "bottom". For anything that does not fit these descriptions you'll need to find an appropriate maxis item. Make sure to join all parts of said item into one, optionally rename it to "reference"; 2). Make sure both the reference and your item are visible ( eye icon ) and selectable ( cursor icon, enable it in Filter); 3). Select the reference, Ctrl-select your item. Switch to Weight paint; 4). Weights - Transfer weights. Choose Nearest face interpolated and By Name; 5). You no longer need to use Clean, they changed how vertex groups are transferred; 6). Weights - Limit total. Choose All groups and 4.

Good to know! I'm trying to learn Blender 3.3 and it's giving me fits. I keep right-clicking to select the mesh and pressing W to remove doubles. Old habits are hard to break, lol.

Press N to open the right panel. If it has no more than 4 vertex groups affecting it, everything transferred correctly. None of them should have 0.000 values like below
