ive been following a tutorial by ivka sims ( link) on existent 3d models in the sims 4, and have used it to convert both top and bottom without any problems, using the nude top and nude bottom to import into blender. when i tried hair, however, the hair in cas appeared as the original base game hair i had used to import into blender. in the comments of the ivka sims video, people also seemed to struggle with converting hairs. how do i fix this, and what item do i use to import into blender when i want to convert things other than tops or bottoms? quality also seems to be an issue. files: ( 1 2)

Hi. The item you cloned is made of 3 meshgroups per lod. Your blend has only one, so only one is being replaced while other stay. More about it here

i see. i joined the mesh groups together at the start and then joined it with the other mesh i was trying to convert, so im supposed to keep them. what do i do with the other mesh groups and should i get rid of doubles after i finished everything? because thats what i did and nothing happened. im sorry, ive never done anything with multiple mesh groups before.

Hairs are made of 3 meshgroups, one full hairstyle and 2 hat compatibile. You can use your hair for all 3 meshgroups but then hairstyle will not work with hats, or make it hat compatibile by making cuts. Add proper geoms numbers same as hair you use as a base
