Hi there! I've been having a recurring issue when trying to import DDS texture files. Normally, I have absolutely no issue importing DDS emission maps I've created (for glowing Vampire/Occult eyes - I posted these on Tumblr if you're interested), as an example of it working. The texture size for these are 2048 x 4096 to be compatible with HQ mod (I do not have this mod installed). I've been exporting them with Adobe Photoshop CS6 using the following settings: However when I try to import a DDS file for the diffuse map of a new Eyebrow standalone, I keep getting an error message: I don't understand why it doesn't work only in this situation, but it works in the other? I did everything the same. Also tried again using the default 2048 x 1024, but got the same error message. For the record, I am using the community tested version latest build (3.1.6.3), and I tried it with an older version and the beta version too, but got the same error. I just want to know what I might be doing wrong or if this is some sort of glitch? Or do I need to change / update something? I need to use DDS for this and not PNG, I can't seem to get decent-looking soft hair details using PNG as artifacts / squares appear around the eyebrows in-game wherever there is lower opacity. I read using DDS with Alpha would fix this issue. Here are the files I've been using: S4 Package (Eyebrow Standalone)DDS Eyebrow TextureAnyway, I would really appreciate it if anyone could help with this. I would be able to improve a lot of my mods if I can figure out how to do it properly!

Hello. Eyebrows are makeup in Sims 4, and the diffuse uses the LRLE format, which is (theoretically at least) uncompressed. You need to import an uncompressed texture. Either try PNG or change the DXT5 in the Photoshop options to uncompressed. (I think the B8G8R8A8 in the error message is the uncompressed option in Photoshop.)

Hi. Ever since they introduced color sliders, you must use these settings for items that are compatible with them. Alternatively, you can just use png

Thank you fallingsim & mauvemorn, you solved my issue. I was able to import it without the error message!
I will have to remember that for makeup I need to change the settings.
