OK, so confession, I'm super inexperienced with CC making and have only made super simple recolors in Photoshop. I'm not interested (at the moment) in mesh editing, but after spending literal hours painting occult details in PS and checking the texture in S4S/in game/going back and repainting, I want to look into using the texture paint function in Blender to make the process a little smoother and easier. Is there a S4S-compatible version of Blender with the texture paint function (since I know earlier versions don't have that function)? And uh... if so, how do I get there? 🥴

Hi. If you have the newer versions of photoshop, it has a 3d feature, so you can paint on 3d models there. The tutorials on skin detail making usually show where to get a model of the sim and how to get it in photoshop. If you don’t have it, get the latest version of blender from blender’s website

I use CS6 and have had this program for almost 10 years and somehow never figured that out. 🤦♂️ This makes my life so much easier, thank you!
None of the skin detail tutorials I've looked at have any links or resources about sim models, though. :( Where can I find these tutorials? I think I've searched every variation of "ts4 cc skin detail tutorial" I can possibly think of and everything is basically "export the texture from S4S and go paint it in PS" without mentioning 3D models or 3D painting at all.

How to export the body:
- clone a swimsuit, export the blend, open it; - expand the rig, make feet and head selectable (cursor icon); - select s4studio_mesh_1, shift-select all other s4studio_mesh_, head and feet, File - Export - Wavefront (obj). Enable Selection only; - then import it in photoshop

Life saver 🙏 I've had the textures for a while but am a complete apprentice when it comes to Blender. Thank you so much for your help!

Actually one can paint directly in Blender, there are many tutorials available eg I never did this and I have no clue whether this makes sense for TS4 at all.
