I just loaded some of my own CC back into my game and realized that for some reason now when I have my custom thumbnail overlay added it eats the actual catalog thumbnail in S4S and in game. I tested it by removing the overlay on all swatches and the thumbnails came back in game. Put overlay back, thumbnails vanishes. In between all of this I was also deleting the localthumbcache and letting that regenerate the thumbnails. Only thing I can think is maybe I have the overlay too big? (116x116) Also, is there a way to create a new swatch just to the right of the selected on? I felt like there was a way to do this but I can't remember how. Edit: Forgot to add that the overlay is a transparent PNG file.

hi CoffinFit,
as far as i've experienced when you have a thumbnail overlay but no cached thumbnail image the overlay prevents the generation of the thumbnail image and you can only see whatever is on your overlay. so if you keep deleting the localthumcache you will only be able to see the overlays... no clue why this happens tho
hopefully you get something useful put of this

Thank you for the response. It was very useful indeed. Now I know it's just one of those things and can just work around it. Thank you

Something you might want to check is if the settings of Studio are set on the right folders. I just had a problem myself that Studio didn't generated the thumbnail. My problem was that I recently changed my game to another language, which also added a new documents folder. I discovered that the settings for studio were still on the old documents folder though and there fore were looking into the wrong localthumbcache. Setting the right folder fixed my problem. ======= About your overlay size, I use the same size without problems, so that isn't your problem either. Adding a swatch can be done by clicking the "add swatch" button on the right of the swatches. If you have multiple swatches and want to re-order them, right-click the thumbnails and choose "Enable drag and drop swatch reordering". Also when going into Warehouse and looking in the Object Catalog section, you will find a "SwatchColorSortPriority" line. You can set the order for your swatches in there too. Hopes this helps a bit.

You know what? There may be something to that folder thing, Bakie. Not necessarily the wrong folder but I do tend to put my stuff in its own subfolder within my mods folder. Could be that. I'll put everything in the mods folder only to begin with and see if that fixes the issue. Ah yes, I have the drag and drop swatches on, I was just being lazy when dealing with several rows of swatches when I went back and added extra matching swatches to everything. lol
