It definitely has its share of drawbacks, but also has its share of advantages. It's so nice that we have Pet doors in The Sims 4, and we can actually teach Dogs to play fetch with a ball. Many of the Dog and Cat Breeds look way more realistic than those in The Sims 3. (Seriously, what was The Sims 3 team thinking with the Standard Poodle?) We can visit the jungle, go camping in the woods, we have hidden Worlds, etc. I also find it cool that we can actually join our Sims in working at the police station, hospital, and science lab. Speaking of labs, Labradors are one of the Dog Breeds that was added into The Sims 4. The Sims 3 did not have them. It's cool how we can play with multiple households as well within the same save. On that note, it's nice we can save while in build/buy mode, and we can go back to our desktop home screen without having The Sims 4 crash. All that being said, The Sims 3 definitely has its advantages and drawbacks over The Sims 4 as well.

They're both great games, just like a good comfy sweat shirt... you can have two...and they both can be comfy but in different ways.
