So, I've recently taken up creating all the Final Fantasy 12 characters in the sims 4. However, I have reached Fran. I'm converting an old TS3 set to TS4, but I'm stuck on the hair. It's a total nightmare to convert! It looks so weird and awful, and I don't know how to fix it! Here's an image: Somebody help! This is torturous!

Hi. We would need to see the blend file to give any instructions. Right now it seems like the uvs are not aligned

The UV aligning is what I'm trying to do, but there's just something really off about it. I've uploaded the files here: filebin.net/rqhrhev55eurtk69

The link does not work, it opens to a blank page

- delete uv_0 and uv_1 with the - button; - rename the remaining map to uv_0; - select all uvs with A, choose your image as the background, press S Y 0.5 to shrink the uvs to their original size, then scale them down and align with the texture;
Also, you need to delete and re-transfer weights because the hair should not be assigned to b__HeadNew__ (unless it is from some type of mod or rig replacement). Transfer uv_1 and vertex paint the mesh with 007f00

- delete all weights; - find some long maxis hairstyle, clone, export, append in the scene, rename to reference; - select the rteference, shift-select your hair, transfer as shown on the screenshot

How do I do step 2? I don't know what append, clone, export, or reference mean in this context, I'm a total beginner with blender and this is my very first TS3 conversion...

You should watch a video tutorial on converting meshes to the sims 4. If you are not familiar with the basic terminology, this will not be a matter of a few screenshots and do-this-do-that
