Maybe you could ask/commission someone like Gengar Used Lick - she makes A LOT of awesome, unique mermaid tail cc that's mostly maxis match.

I'm currently trying to learn how to use s4s so I can make a mermaid tail for one of my sims, and I have experience with blender so I get it you don't have any how that would be a HUGE learning curve but it can be really worthwhile to try it out; so far the most I've done with s4s is making edits to cc eyes that are no longer supported so that I can still use them in game and replacing thumbnails that got broken for cc hair.

In the meantime, if you do make like a sim version of her, pyxis and lamattise have occult/unnatural skintones that would fit Tidy really well. Happy simming!!!
