So hey guys, I'm fairly new to this forum and started with blender (Already did the accessory tutorial by Orange, it worked). Now I try to make clothing. More or less done with meshing, but I do have one problem. I tried to make a loose sweater that goes to the hips. Problem is that, the part between the hips and the waist do not extend when the sim has larger hips, so it looks glitched, but when on a sim with slimmer hips, it looks like a potatosack. Yes I tried vertex coloring, but nothing helps... I tried sizing, it may help but it could look, as I said, like a potatosack.Does anyone have advice? Are there any other methods to fix it? Did I also use the correct vertex colors? Thank you for any advice!

Hi. When you change the length of something, you must re-do the weights and uv_1 in this area. Right now the extended area moves and morphs like it used to before instead of like the new area of the body it covers

It solved the main problem, but now I've got another one... When going in CAS, I can't use the sliders properly. As example when I want make the belly of a sim bigger, it doesn't usually make it bigger, but something else and the Sim looks weird. Also, the collarbone of the Sim (atleast on the one I tested the cc on) looks weird... Is there maybe something wrong with the weights? Is there any post where I can look which area gets assigned to which weight? But tho, thank you for answering! :D

This sounds more like uv_1 is wrong, share the updated blend please. Unless you're checking the breasts, weights have no control over how the body morphs.

The uvs in uv_1 must not fit into the uvs space. Also, as i mentioned before, when you modify the length of an item, you must re-transfer weights and uv_1 from a similarly shaped maxis item. For example, the part of the garment that was in the waist area is covering the hips now, yet it still moves and morphs like the waist.
You need to separate the torso area of the garment and re-transfer this data. Do not re-do anything for the sleeves because they will receive it from the torso. For the future, it is best to not make garments that do not already exist among maxis ones, there is always a reason for it
You should always start by studying maxis catalogue and a similar maxis item, this will prevent 99% of the problems
