Disclaimer: I do not know how to build mods, I only know how to recolor existing CAS items so my knowledge is very limited. I had an object head mod (an orb) made for one of my sims, including a toddler size. The mod functions as a hat. Now that the infant update is out, I'd love to have it fit an infant too, but when I went to see if I could change the settings in S4S, I realized that a toddler hat just hovers above an infant build. My problem: The person I had to make this mod for me has disappeared from the internet, so I have been unable to contact them. I have the .package files they sent me, but nothing more. Is it possible to receive help? I'd greatly appreciate it! Bonus: I'd love to have this item function as Hair instead of a hat so they'd stay on forever. If that can be done with just the .package files, let me know! I have the files for the toddler -> adult orbs.

Don't know about the hair issue, but when you convert something between ages of different sizes, you usually have to move the object so it sits in the proper place, sometimes also resize it (if it isn't already an acceptable size).
I'd think the UVmapping and texture and all that is fine (unless there are significant changes between the toddler and infant frames). Possibly also the joints/vertex painting, but you may have to check that.
If you want to make it into a hair, you'll probably have to remap it to fit in the hair area.

Would I be able to move the object using Sims 4 Studio? I haven't done something of this extent before (only recoloring of existing items) so I'm still extremely new to what all the program can do.

No, you need Blender, too. This is going to be a mesh edit.

Haven't touched the program before. :( For anyone reading this thread: Is there anyone able to help if I send them the .package/.png files? (Just lowering the toddler orb to where it'd work for an infant, no resizing or other changes necessary) I'd be willing to compensate for their time too.

i know it has been months but if you still need help, i can do easy edits on blender, from my test so far usually transferring from toddler to infant is height transfer which can be done on blender pretty easy and doesnt take more than a minute so i can try for you, but if its full body mesh might need resizing which takes extra work and time and i dont always do well.
