So I've been converting hairs, and I noticed that if I take the original file out of the S4S mods folder then the mesh no longer shows properly when I open my file in S4S. But it's annoying to have to scroll through so many when I want to do something new. If I take the original files out of that folder, is that okay? Do I just need to move the file back if I want to edit it? If this doesn't make any sense I can try to record or screenshot what I mean.

The cloned package relies on the resources in the original package. If s4s cannot find the original, it does not display them. For that reason the original should be in both Mods folders for your custom ones to work in s4s and the game. If you want to cut this connection, you can embed all resources but, unless for personal use, that will most likely go again the terms of use of the author of the original and will make the package heavier

I'm assuming it only needs to be in the sims 4 folder for it to show in game (and then I can add the file back to the sims 4 studio folder if I need to edit it)
