hello, i'm a very new cc creator and i've been focusing on making maxis match hairs, but i'm very flawed at uv mapping and it's a bit hard of a task for me to tangle. this is my second hair i've made (it's more of a frankenmesh), and the textures just look super bizarre besides the map on the pre existing mesh i used for the bangs. (even then i kinda lagged on making the bang mesh look clean)

Hi. Just enable Use uvs for mapping before converting the curves to mesh ( ignore everything else in the pic)
i would advice to do what most notable maxis match creators do: frankenmesh the whole hair, edit the shape to your liking, optionally add THIN strands of hair to make things more interesting.
This would be much faster, easier and you can get very elaborate and unique hairstyles like this.
It is not a good idea to make the whole hair or a big portion of it out of curves and unwrap them over the existing texture because this is not how maxis does it, so it never ends up looking 'maxis-y'
