Can someone please help me with weight painting , I'm still having a hard time doing the weight painting even i watched too many tutorials :( , I still don't get it how it works.

Hello, weight painting basically just tells a vertex to follow a bone when the bone moves. The vertex weights is from 0 to 1. If it's 0 the vertex doesn't follow the bone & vice versa. For sims 4, 1 vertex can have no more than 4 bone influences iirc, more than that and s4s would import it weird. Let's say you're making a hat, the hat should follow the head when it moves. That means you have to weight all the vertex to the head bone. Now let's say you are making a scarf. A scarf cover the neck, the chest & maybe the shoulder. That means you have to add weight to the neck, spine & shoulder bone. The closer a vertex is to a bone, the bigger the vertex weight should be. For example, vertex near the shoulder might have 0.8 in shoulder bone & 0.2 in spine bone (max weight equals 1). If your still confused, try transferring the vertex weight from objects that is similar the the object you're making and then refine from there. Try moving the bone to see how the object deform to see how the vertex weight works. Hope my explanation is not to confusing.
